Green Smoothie

I call this one.... THE MOTHERLOAD.
I buy a ton of fruits and veggies. I mean a TON. I am obsessed. But anyway, I usually have at least 2 smoothies a day, and the one I have in the morning is usually THE MOTHERLOAD. I like to literally throw in everything I can possibly find to get a nice big fat boost of healthy energy in the morning. Then for the second smoothie of the day I try to make an actual tasty recipe, so I will have one of those up on the blog soon.

So for THE MOTHERLOAD I don't really measure anything because I really don't care how it tastes. I just drink it and call it good. So for this particular one I thew in:

oranges
pinnapple
strawberries
mangos
papaya
kiwi
blueberries
carrots
cucumber
kale
spinach
flaxseed
and a tiny bit of water
ice

I also usually have some limes, celery, and collards greens as well but I ran out of those yesterday:(
But I swear to you it actually did taste so good. It usually always does. If you try it and it sucks just make sure to have a little bit more fruit, or you can squeeze in a little bit of raw honey or organic agave and it makes it taste even better:)

Enjoy!

White Bean and Spinach Soup

1 (32oz) carton vegetable broth
1 (15oz) can tomato puree'
1 can white beans, drained
1/2 cup uncooked brown rice
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 chopped garlic cloves
8 cups fresh spinach
finely shredded parmesan cheese

K so I very rarely measure anything because I am lazy and I hate dirtying things that I really don't need to use, and plus it makes me feel like a 5 star chef when I just throw stuff in, so to make this recipe more simple I just used half of a large onion, I actually did measure the spices, but I just put in whatever amount of salt and pepper. So just throw all that in the crock pot on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.  Then when its done throw in the 8 cups of spinach which is pretty much one whole container of the small packaged spinach, or about 7 handfuls, then I just did however much cheese tasted good.  Which wasn't too much by the way.  And Voila!
